The Estate · Ouguerd, Essaouira
Two trees, one estate.
Domaine Villa Maroc grows olive and argan trees in Ouguerd, near Essaouira. The fruit is picked by hand, then the oil is extracted cold, by mechanical means.
How we work
Age-old methods, a modern mill.
We harvest the way it has always been done. Extraction uses today’s tools, to keep the taste of the fruit.
Olive oil
From olive tree to tin.

The harvest.
The olives are picked by hand, from October to December.

The mill.
The olives are cold-pressed soon after picking.

The tin.
The oil is tasted, then filled into opaque metal tins.
Argan oil
From argan tree to bottle.
-
The gathering.
The ripe fruit falls from the tree in summer. We gather it by hand.
-
The cracking.
The nuts are cracked one by one to free the kernels.
-
The pressing.
The kernels are cold-pressed, without solvents.
-
The bottle.
For cooking or for skin, each oil has its own bottle.
